The greatest adventure game ever created, and the greatest storytelling and plot of any game ever created.

If you haven't played it, it chronicles the story of Manuel Calevera, a Grim Reaper. In the world of Grim Fandango, the reapers are actually glorified travel agents, who book trips for the freshly dead from the 8th underworld; where the game takes place, to the 9th underworld; every soul's final resting place. The better your life was, the better your trip is. Manny discovers deep seeded corruption with this system, and your mission is to unearth the conspiracy while saving the soul of Mercedes Colomar, a woman who Manny has fallen for.

I replayed through this game about a year ago, and I'm happy to report it stands the test of time. The game is every bit as entertaining as the first time I played it. I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone I meet, regardless of whether or not they're into videogames, as it's extremely accessible.

I still remember unionizing the dock workers. How many other games to you get to introduce the proletariat to Karl Marx?
Then there was the horrible fate of florists in the next world and how terrifying it was when you were directed up to walk up the hill at the end of the game.
However, the puzzles did get really stupidly crazy. i used a gamefaqs walkthru

YES!! Everything else LucasArts did that I ever played rocked too-- Neverhood, Day of the Tentacle. Haven't tried Monkey Island or Sam and Max yet, but I'm sure going too. ScummVM has been ported to all sorts of modern platforms.

The USS Akron was part of a US Navy program to develop flying aircraft carriers. It flew with a compliment of 3 parasite fighters for reconnaissance and self defense. It's sister ship, the USS Macon, flew with a compliment of 4 fighters.
